...earthquakes, as a woman in labor
These days, one just doesn't know what will happen next. Another $200.00 invested in canned food. In prayer for our protection, Christy

Yes, for the world at large for the moment....but tell that to a person who's feet have been sticking out of concrete rubble for 2 weeks and hears a bulldozer approaching.
I say this, with the understanding that physical terror and suffering will be no match for it's spiritual equivalent.
I can imagine CNN's piece now...a middle aged Florida woman buried under 2000 cans of pork 'n beans after central Florida earthquake. (bad dark humor)

Oh my gosh Christy...that was too funny! (in a dark way..sorry!) That would be a horrible way to go, revenge of your own stockpile! LOL! It made me think of oddities like certain people who spontaneously combust and all that is left behind are their legs, or other lone body parts and limbs. That's always been a curiosity that science has tried to explain but really can't. Maybe an act of God? Just speculation of course. To anyone else reading this....I'm not implying earthquakes and the aftermath are funny! Just Christy's self deprecating joke! :D

Hi David and all,
Now, if we could just keep these women from going into labor... might just be a more peaceful world... Oh nooooo...(ducking low) .
Sorry David , couldn`t help it.
So , what`s your take on the prepping for coming disasters before the Lord returns. Do you do any food or other types of prepping to be more self-sufficient, or do you rely more on spritual preparation and forego physical preps?
I feel a strong urge personally to do both, and have been able to step up physical preparedness as the Lord provides the means. Putting back more food, trying to prepare for any type of disaster that may come... without relying on da gubberment or the devil`s schemes and the hoardes of his followers on this earth, to "provide for me", which will lead to ones destruction in the end, if we follow that path. Just my take on things...

Re: ...earthquakes, as a woman in labor
Deb and PD, thanks for appreciating the dark humor. I kind of hesitated in putting it out there.
And Bestucan, personally I think it's a good idea to prepare both physically and spiritually. If one thought the chances are good that a hurricaine was going to hit your area, wouldn't one want prepare as best as possible? As for the physical prep, this not just a selfish thing. One will be able to provide a can of food for the neighbor. Also, I figure, if I have a little food supply of my own, this will be a little less drain on the public emergency supply. And it might keep me out of the camps for a month or two (whistling in the dark).
And, I'm convinced the most important thing is to pray for spiritual preparedness for any possible scenerio. If you are unable to access your store of pork 'n beans, at least you know you did your best to heed the warnings. We walk into this life through one door and we exit through another. I feel my job is to prepare for this. Love to all of you, Christy
