 Did animals talk
Hi all, I once asked this on some other forum and got laughed off the planet. I have often wondered if animals talked to Adam, and Eve. How did the serpent talk to Eve and she was not surprized at this creature talking with her. I would not be concerned with the forbiden fruit, I would be running. So help me out here, what is the answer please. God bless Richard

 Re: Did animals talk
Very interesting question!
Did Adam or Eve talk? Did they need to? Or could they freely communicate with God, each other and creatures without speech? If there was speech, was there writing? Were the speech and writing Hebraic?
Here's a planet laugh-er for you: did the serpent have legs, but then got 'em knocked off for tricking Eve?

I was not making fun of anyone. I'm honestly curious to see what's said about this stuff. I just kind of naturally sound goofy, maybe; but I'm not poking fun. Your question got me thinking a bit! Thank you--- even though it hurts a little! (thinking, not thanking)
God bless! Not making fun!

 Re: Did animals talk
I was very tired at the time of your post, I work third shift, and was up to long, after rereading, all is good. This serpent, was it a dragon? When we look at the four cherub, we see that they all have a face of man, or animal, or bird. Did lucifer have the face of a dragon? Just wondering Good day God bless

Hmmm....I hadn't really thought about all of the animals being able to speak in the Garden of Eden. I'll have to investigate that further, but God did allow Balaam's donkey to speak to him in Numbers 22:28-30, so I know that if God wants them to speak in a language that we can understand, He can enable them to speak. (There are times that my animals sound like they are forming words to me. Sometimes I'd like them to be able to talk, but then if they did, I'd probably never get a moment's peace and quiet. :) lol) And Brother James, you are so funny. :) I appreciate your sense of humor...but lol...I really believe Adam and Eve spoke. I talk to God all of the time. Sometimes with words sometimes without. If God spoke and the world was, I believe he gave his first humans the capability of speech. :) I need to look into whether the serpent had legs in the beginning or not. As a child I wondered if the serpent had legs then God took them off. Lots of things to investigate here. Thank you both for posting!
