 Where are you from:
Let's take a trip to a place where we all were at one time...in the womb. Strange, but true, we are all from the same place. I know you have never thought of it that way. The title of this forum made me think about how I can relate it to our christian life, or not christian life. It is in the womb where God knew us even before we were to take our first breath of air...outside the womb. So take in the whole picture of, where are you from in the world, takes on a whole new meaning. After growing up, in your home, choosing what road you will take, in life, is really frighting, to say the least. But what if,...follow me on this now...you knew from an early age you would be walking with God. Of course he would let you taste the world, and what it has to offer, but in the end, you knew all alone you was going in the wrong direction. Somewhere between, not feeling right in your behavior and, seeing the world in a different perspective, somehow just did not seem to mix. Of course there were your peers, making an influnence in your choices, but even then, you knew it was not right, and you went and did them anyway. Does any of this sound like you? What if, and this is a big what if, you started doing what you knew was right, your peers dropped you like a dirty rag, but your life was beginning to turn around. There was always the adversity from time to time, but it didn't have that sting, that hurt, like the pain you felt before, when it happened in the past. Like water over a ducks back you let it go its course. So is my life and so you know...."WHAT PART OF THE WORLD I AM FROM......

 Re: Where are you from:
I am from the UK.
I became a believer in Christ 16 years ago.
Since then I have had my faith tested in many ways. My wife divorced me and totally fell away from the faith causing my 2 girls to do the same.
I am a great believer in the Pre-Trib Rapture as I consider it a part of the salvation plan of God, just as the resurrection is.
I have vigorously defended this view on other forums and came out with a sense that others who oppose it do not do so out of a serious study of Scripture but instead are trying to defend unbiblical presuppositions.
E.g. Preterism is simply unbelief wrapped in religious attire. It is totally unscriptural!
Pastor David's views interest me though I am not yet totally convinced on his distinction between the Body of Christ and the Bride of Christ.
But I have been wrong about other things so I try to be open minded!
God bless everyone here.

 Re: Where are you from:
Hi Isaiah66! I'm happy to hear you are open-minded. That is a good thing when it comes to the things of the LORD! God has shown me MUCH this year and has used Pastor David to help me unlearned some of the things I've been taught all of my life. I've learned to pray as I read the Bible for the LORD to open my eyes to what HE is actually saying and to not read things through the filter of what I've been taught by man. He has honored that prayer, and it has changed my understanding on many things. I will be praying that the LORD opens your eyes and heart as well as your mind. God bless you, brother! I look forward to reading more posts by you! :)

 Re: Where are you from:
Isaiah66; Isn’t it great to be saved! I cannot remember how long I’ve been saved. I am sure I am saved. In spite of what I go through God’s constantly show me I am his loving child. To me that is most awesome. I believe that we (the children of God) will be raptured before the tribulation. My reasoning is based on the fact that the children of Israel never had any of the plagues of Egypt fall upon them. This for me is a sign that God’s people will not be affected by the terrors which come upon the earth in Revelation. This does not mean that I am totally correct. What it does mean that no matter when it happens and no matter how God goes about doing his thing, I know where my home is. I am going to heaven. That is what is priceless. I have a destiny and no matter what goes on in this world I’m going to fulfill my destiny in and through the power of God. This is so cool to me. Without God and the work Jesus did on the cross for me, I know where I was destined to go. Now that Jesus is I my life I have a valid reason to be on this earth. I may not fully get the complete picture at this moment but it is all good. I am divorced as well. I have not seen my children in many years. But that is not the end of the story. I received an e-mail recently from a person on Facebook requesting to be a friend. I wrote the person and told them I did not know who they were and I asked that they tell me how they got my name. They wrote back that they are a friend of one of my stepdaughters. I signed up as a friend on Facebook. A few days later I received an email from my stepdaughter saying she wants to get together. A week later I received another e-mail from my daughter stating she wants to see me. This cannot b anyone but God. Allow God to move the way He sees fit in your life and He will make all your trials become a time of JOY! Hold on God is working on your behalf and on the behalf of your family. God is a great God.

AMEN & PRAISE THE LORD, Brother Tony! How awesome our God is, and how blessed we are to know that this ol' world is not our home! We are just passing on through! I rejoice with you in what God is doing for you in reconnecting you with your children! Our Father gives the BEST gifts! God bless you, Tony, and thanks so much for sharing your testimony with us!
