I have received a request for prayer for 22 Christian missionaries and their families who are in Afganistan and are to be executed. I have no other information. Please pray for them as you are led. Thank you. Bless you.

Mary, thank you so much for sharing the info about the missionaries! Prayers are being lifted up even now as I respond to you.

Heavenly Father, we ask that you be with these brothers & sisters in Christ in a special way right now. May they experience your peace, strength, and goodness as never before. LORD, thank you for the courage you are giving each of them as they go through this trial, for we know that you are right there with each of them. May their lives be a testimony to all of those around them, especially those who are persecuting them, and are plotting their death. Father, it is our will that these precious servants would be delivered from this hour, for most in Afghanistan live in darkness and need Ambassadors for Christ among them to shine your light, to speak your truth, and to demonstrate your great love to them. It is our desire that each life would be spared miraculously and that your name would be glorified in this, but Father, we ask not that our will be done but your will be done. We know that you are working all things together for the good of those who love you and are called according to your purpose, and that your name will be lifted up, even if these precious servants are taken from this world. Father, we know that if they are executed, that this is not the end for them, but a glorious beginning in the eternal home you have prepared for each one of them.

We love you Father, and we praise you for all that you have done and are doing. Be glorified not only in the 22 mentioned in this prayer request, but in each member of Your Body we pray...

I am praising The Lord for the prayers being said for the missionaries and their families, and I am in awe with the realisation that there is no distance in the Spirit, and that our voices are in unity calling to our Father to manifest His Will in the lives of His servants in Afganistan with whom we are joined in one Body, and it is just Awesome to think on this! The contact is in Northern Ireland and when I get an update I will post it.

Mary, any update?

Sorry no update on the missionaries but there is connected information that has come from a sister who has just returned from India where she was a missionary teacher at the school where the children of the Afghanistan missionaries go. The school is surrounded with army or policemen who are stopping anyone entering or leaving the school as there has been death threats against the children in the local newspapers, and the source is not known. The school has a name that has American connections. The reason for the threats is not known.
I got this information third hand but my contact in N.Ireland knows the sister who brought this information and can vouch for her.
The Lord be merciful to His suffering people on the field and at home according to His plans and purposes in Jesus' name. Lord in You we trust. Amen.
