Seems everywhere we turn, we encounter bad news. Well, this morning, turn off the news, put down the newspaper and spend some time worshiping our LORD God. He is truly glorious and He makes all things new! Yes, this world is a mess, but this world is NOT our home. Is it sad to see that things that are happening with the BP situation destroying our oceans, our corrupt government swindling the American people out of more of their freedoms, people abusing one another daily....YES! But praise be to God, He holds today and tomorrow in His hand. He knows what must take place. He is glorious and makes all things new! Give Him the glory, honor, and praise that He deserves this day, and let's stop our bellyaching over the condition of the things in this world. Did God not lay out in His Word what will take place?
Here are some words from the Apostle Paul:
17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. 18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) 20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 3:17-21
11 Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Exodus 15:11
And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen. Psalm 72:19
This post isn't meant to be a slap in the face. :) I'm not putting anyone down. My desire is to remind us of where our treasure is and where our focus needs to be. Jesus said, "In this world ye shall have trouble, but take heart; I have overcome the world." Spend some time in His Word fellowshipping with Him and the things of this world will grow strangely dim as we look on His glory and grace.
Have a glorious day everyone. I had more I wanted to share this morning, but I gotta get to work. Love to you each and everyone, and have a glorious day with our Father and LORD!
