 Re: Did animals talk
I'd like to say thanks to James, Terri, and Pastor David for your responce to this subject. I took a while to figure out what James was leading to, but I got it now. What I got out of this was the serpent was satan. He spoke to the woman, so the serpent wasn't a serpent at all, he was a angle. Is this right? God bless Richard

Thanks for the topic, Richard!
Wasn't ever leading anywhere, though, just kind of meandering.
I speculate that Adam and Eve had a mixture of intelligence with innocence and perceptual keenness with naiveté that modern humans cannot fully grasp; perhaps senses beyond the modernly accepted five, to boot. Maybe the animals didn't talk like Mickey Mouse does, but does that entirely rule out their communicating with A&E?

But Satan was of the order of the Cherubim (Ezekiel 28:14). Also, when the LORD placed the Cherubim, ("he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, TO KEEP THE WAY of the Tree of Life." Gen. 3:24) This was because the LORD had to place a being of equal order there. Certainly it was not for Adam, because after the fall, the lowest ranking angel could handle Adam. But look at the phrase...TO KEEP THE WAY. This reminds me of when the U.S. Navy's Sixth Fleet was sent TO KEEP THE WAY of the Suez Canal during the crisis of 1956. Or when the Sixth Fleet was sent during the early 1800's to KEEP THE WAY of the commercial vessels against the Barbary Pirates. 8-)

And that is, what God has chosen to tell us. We don't know what we don't know. And as far as the senses go, I think that Adam and Eve were able to perceive all of the dimensions. Unlike today where we perceive only 3 plus time. Hence they were able to actually meet with God. 8-)

 Re: Did animals talk
Hi Pastor David, Thank you for your reply, but now that opens a hole new question. :D Do animal see, and know the other side. You see, back on april 2 1996 my son wanted to come home from the hospital to watch the open game of the red sox. He was in there because he was losing his battle with MD. The Dr said it would be ok but he had to come back the next day. He agreed. When we got home with him, his dog (sam) stayed right at his side, he never left him. Every so ofter the dog would bark at nothing at all, but my mind was going. It was after the game which the sox lost that my son ask me the hardest question I have ever had to answer. Am I dying. He said is this what sam sees. I said yes to his first question, and told him I wasn't sure about the other. Now the animals never sinned as far as I know, or they may not count I don't know. I believe that God loves all of His Creation, which has to be all life, man and animal. So do they see what we no longer see? It was april 4 1996 that Buddy my son went home.
God bless Richard
