In my last post, I was thinking about those people who "start out well" in good churches, but become deceived by false gospels and become Mormons, JW's, etc.

Thes verses seem to say that if a "professor" rejects grace for a works-based religion that it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance. Does this mean its wrong to try? Is this the "sin unto death" that we are not commanded to pray for?

Well...now with this passage you MUST keep in mind that even though this was written FOR the Body of Christ, doesn't mean that it was written TO the Body of Christ. This seems to be what you are tripping over. Surely a person who has become a partaker of the Holy Spirit has become a Child of God. Therefore, if there is any application of Hebrews 6:4-6 to be made to members of the Body of Christ, it must prove the very opposite of what is taught by so many pastors and preachers. It must prove that the child of God cannot fall away.
Therefore, the case presented in Hebrews 6:4-6 could only be considered a hypothetical case as far as any member of Christ's Body is concerned.

Now how many different ways to I have to tell you this before you get it...lol
